We need 2 Yes votes for every No vote

Please remember to vote tomorrow morning, Saturday May 2, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the Buker School. On the ballot are three candidates for selectman:

Bill Clifford – http://www.wickedlocal.com/wenham/archive/x1092980623/Wenham-Board-of-Selectmen-candidate-William-Clifford

John Clemenzi – http://www.wickedlocal.com/wenham/archive/x718267051/Wenham-Board-of-Selectmen-candidate-John-Clemenzi

Don Costin – http://www.wickedlocal.com/wenham/archive/x126909211/Wenham-Board-of-Selectmen-candidate-Donald-E-Costin

Then plan to return to Buker starting at 1 p.m. for the Wenham Town Meeting.

Article 8 is the Capital Debt Exclusion (CDE) to fund repairs and address safety concerns in all buildings of our regional school district. The CDE is supported by both towns’ boards of selectmen and finance committees. It is not an operational override nor a permanent tax increase. Thanks to historically low interest rates, the CDE will have a minimal impact on our tax bills.

The debt exclusion needs a 2/3 vote at both town meetings in order to make it onto the ballot.

Every single vote is critical. Please make arrangements so that every registered voter in your household can attend Town Meeting.

If you need a babysitter, reply to this email and we’ll be in touch! We have high schoolers standing by to help out.

If the article fails at either Town Meeting or at the ballot, it will not be reconsidered and will not be re-voted on.

Remember: 1 p.m. at Buker on Saturday. See you there, and thanks!
